Hey hey hey! How are we all doing today? It's Monday, so it's my favourite time of the week which is my Mask Monday series. I for one am very impressed I have managed to keep it up for so long so a little round of applause for me! I actually only got this one used last night as Saturday I was at a wedding which meant a lot of food and a lot of alcohol. Alcohol is something that heavily dehydrates not only your body but your skin, so I felt like I needed to give my skin a little freshen up and get it some moisture back into it. So I picked up the Tony Moly I'm Real Sheet Mask in Tomato. Let's get on and see how I managed with it!
Believe it or not, I have never actually subscribed to any beauty boxes! It's something I always considered but by the time payday comes around I already have a wishlist of things I need to get ASAP. So, I was incredibly surprised and grateful to be able to try out one of Ichiko Bento's boxes! Ichiko Bento is a subscription service that provides a mixture of both Korean, Japanese and Taiwanese beauty products. They provide two different sizes of "bento", the Classic priced at 14 contains 5 products and the Deluxe priced at 26 contains 5-7 products, one of which being a full sized skincare product. This is ideal for those that are interested in getting into Asian beauty but don't know what products to start with, or for those already heavily into Asian products and want a little surprise each month or just a variation things to try. This box I received is their August box which has the theme of Island Escape. Let's get into what I actually received in this box!
I'm back with yet another Tony Moly I'm Real Sheet Mask and this time we have the Red Wine version of the range. Since I have the entire set and I usually pick the mask based on my current skin troubles, I actually picked this one for an ongoing skin issue which is the fact that I have rather large pores.I have been feeling a bit stressed lately but have seemed to have had an aversion to drinking alcohol lately so I figured, why not relax after my bath with a little red wine on my face. I don't have super high expectations but I did hope for at least a small result. So let's take a look at this mask and how it performs.
One of my top favourite fruits is watermelon (my number one actually being pomegranate), despite it's slightly odd texture, I always feel refreshed eating it and it just tastes so so good. So it made it an obvious choice. Of course, the packaging being pastel pink also added an extra point to me choosing to purchase this mask out of the range of Icing Sweet Bar Sheet Masks from my ever loved A'pieu. The range actually has 4 different ~flavours~ (I never know what term to use for sheet mask variations? Face flavours? Maybe I'll use that from now on). It comes in Melon, Watermelon, Pineapple and Hanrabong (it's a form of sweet mandarin orange or so google tells me). Wanting to try more and more sheet masks and discover a few favourites, I've been picking up one or two every so often to give them a go so this was my most recent selection.
First of all, apologies for missing last week's Mask Monday. I felt like I was starting to get on a roll with these but I missed last week due to feeling a bit stressed out and a bit down in all honesty. So self care and blogging took a bit of a back seat while I tried to let myself relax and try and get myself back together. However, I'm baaaaack today~ carrying on with the Tony Moly I'm Real Sheet Masks this time in the Makgeolli variety. So what is makgeolli? Well, it's a sweet Korean alcoholic beverage made from rice (usually) or wheat, one I actually haven't tried but do intend to at somepoint (I have had soju before and I ended up getting fairly drunk after one bottle.....I'm a cheap date). The beverage itself is supposed to be very benficial to the skin containing a heap of probiotics along with vitamins and minerals, leaving several benefits to the skin.
